The Riga Jewish Community invites you to take part in the final stage of an important initiative — the creation of a modern, functional, and safe playground at the Jewish kindergarten Motek.
This stage completes a long-term and consistent effort that the Community has pursued for several years — in partnership with municipal structures, as well as local and international partners.
Over the past year, more than €90,000 have already been invested in site improvement and the first phase of the project, thanks to the support of the Riga Jewish Community, the Riga City Property Department, and the Latvian Jewish Community Restitution Fund.
So far, the following work has been completed:
– The site has been landscaped: the old surface was replaced with paving stones, and a new fence was installed
– Automatic gates have been added to ensure safe and convenient access
– Thuja trees were planted, and the landscaping was completed
– A large sandbox was installed as a key element of the play area
– The installation of soft ground surfacing has begun and is expected to be completed soon
Now, just one step remains — to raise €11,000 for the installation of play structures that will bring the playground to life and fill it with joy and energy.
